Young man studying an open book at a wooden library table.01 — BEGINNING

Ancient weight. Modern clarity.

Knowledge is not the same as wisdom.

We have access to more information than any generation before us. But information alone cannot tell us how to live, who we are, or what deserves our worship.

Enter the message

There is a place where knowledge must bow.

Not to ignorance.
Not to manipulation.
Not to human authority.
To God.

God gave us minds to use—to ask hard questions, study deeply, and test what we have been taught. The problem is not that we think. The problem begins when our thinking becomes the authority that everything else must answer to, including God. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” because wisdom begins when we remember who is thinking and who is God.

God is not an object to be mastered or reduced to the limits of our understanding. He can be truly known because He has made Himself known, but we are still not God. When knowledge finds its proper place beneath His authority, scholarship becomes worship, questions become pursuit of truth, reason becomes service, and study becomes discipleship.

Pr. 9:10
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

NKJV

MORE ACCESS.
MORE VOICES.
MORE QUESTIONS.

You know more than any generation before you. But are you wise?

Solomon pursued knowledge, pleasure, achievement, wealth, and experience on a scale few people could imagine. Ecclesiastes records what he discovered: abundance cannot bear the weight of meaning apart from God. The Solomon Generation is living through that same experiment collectively—with unprecedented access to knowledge, entertainment, experience, and competing claims about reality.

The invitation is not to stop thinking. It is to become the kind of person whose knowledge has learned to kneel—before Scripture, beneath the authority of God, and in the fear of the LORD.

A biblical framework for life

Before a person can think rightly, they must stand rightly.

01

God defines reality.

Truth does not begin inside us. We receive it from the One who made us.

02

The heart is not the highest authority.

Desire is real, but it is not sovereign. Every part of us needs the truth.

03

Obedience makes theology real.

What we believe is revealed in what we are willing to surrender and obey.

Fear that makes you free

The person who fears God does not have to fear everything else.

The fear of the LORD is not the same thing as anxiety about God. It recognizes the One who is ultimate, so every lesser fear can be put back in its proper place. Rejection, failure, cultural pressure, the future, and the need for control are no longer ultimate. The question of highest authority has already been settled.

Where Knowledge Must Bow is a teaching ministry calling a generation to the fear of the LORD as the beginning—not the enemy—of wisdom.

Created by Chad and Alissa Gardner, this work is for young adults navigating a world dense with information and thin on authority. We believe Scripture is sufficient, Jesus is Lord, and clear thinking begins with a rightly ordered life before God. We do not stand over the text as the exception: God has the right to contradict all of us. Questions are welcome here because intellectual honesty and submission to Scripture belong together.

Use your mind. Remain correctable.

Seek truth. Test all things. Hold fast what is good.
